Meet the Trainers: |
Megan Tutera, BS, CBC Senior Trainer & Behaviorist, Megan Tutera came to us with a background in working with a multitude of animals. She felt that our methods gave her a good balance as a trainer to help impact the lives of families and their dogs. Megan has a Bachelor of Science in Marine Science, and spent 15 years as an animal behaviorist working with both marine and land animals. She has trained animals for Sea World Ohio, The Rainforest Café, the National Aquarium in Baltimore, and most recently Six Flags Great Adventure. Whether it was with sea lions or elephants, or dogs, Megan has always had a passion for training. Her passion for working with dogs came with her first foster dog, Blitz. Blitz was a deaf Dogo without any hope for a home, and no training. She made it her job to make him into an incredible adoptable boy and now wishes to continue to pursue her career helping others with their companion dogs. |

A Colorado Dog Training Tradition! We're a Colorado Company! Front Range K9 Academy was founded by owner and trainer, Jennifer Hime. A Colorado native, Hime has worked with dogs professionally since 1990. In 2006, we put in place our Dog Trainer Apprenticeship Program. Every trainer we hire must complete a minimum of 200 hours of training under our Head Trainers. The program is extremely rigorous, with an 80% 'wash out' rate. This means we train and retain only the best at communicating with clients and their dogs. |
Meredith Harris, CBC Trainer Meredith Harris joined the Front Range K9 team after completing our rigorous Dog Trainer Apprenticeship program in 2018, and is accepting clients and teaching group and private classes. We're looking forward to her leading pack walks and teaching polishing skills and drills classes, as well as all levels of our training programs. Meredith's interest in dog training stemmed from her other canine-related profession of dog walking & sitting. She found that she wanted to know more about dog behavior to be able to better serve the dogs she encounters in her daily work, as well as her own dogs - Alfred, a large mix breed pup, and Kinsey, a 7 year old Yorkshire terrier, and her newest addition, Nala, her rescued Plotthound. We're excited to have this great trainer aboard! |
Jordan Dye, CBC Raised in a household with cats, horses, and dogs, as the daughter of a professional groomer, Trainer Jordan Dye has been a life-long animal lover. Jordan completed our Dog Trainer Apprenticeship program in record time, and is qualified to teach all levels of our training, as well as problem solving, tricks classes, and more. Jordan spends her spare time working with her 3 horses, and her terrier, Jax, her demo dog. She is an avid tricks trainer and an overall asset to our training staff. We're thrilled to have this dynamic, insightful trainer on board. |
